Frequently Asked Questions
What does Relational Suite™ bring to my program?
Relational Suite™ brings a clinically grounded, systems-based approach to athletic programs and schools. The work addresses the relational and systemic patterns shaping your athletes, your team culture, and your coaching environment to help you build a program where performance and wellbeing are supported at every level. The work begins not with the athlete in isolation but with the full system surrounding them.
Is this therapy?
No. Relational Suite™ is a consulting and coaching practice, not a therapy practice. The work is grounded in clinical theory and led by a licensed clinician, but the programs are educational, systemic, and performance-focused — not clinical treatment. Athletes and coaches are not patients. They are participants in a relational development process designed specifically for the athletic environment.
How is Relational Suite™ different from a sports psychologist or school counselor?
Each of these roles serves a valuable and distinct purpose and Relational Suite™ is not a replacement for any of them. Sports psychologists focus primarily on the individual athlete’s mindset and mental performance. School counselors provide essential individual support for students navigating academic and personal challenges. Relational Suite™ works at a different level entirely — the team, the culture, and the full system surrounding your athletes. Led by a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, a clinical credential specifically trained in how relational and family systems shape behavior and performance, the work addresses the relational and systemic forces that individual-focused approaches are not designed to reach. These approaches are complementary. Relational Suite™ is what fills the gap between them.
What programs are available for athletic programs and schools?
Relational Suite™ offers several programs under the Home Advantage umbrella designed to meet your program at a different level of need and investment. The free Relational Performance Snapshot is the starting point for every program. From there, Family Advantage is a single in-person session bringing families and student-athletes together at your school. Family and Coach Advantage expands the work to include your coaching staff across a full season. The full Home Advantage implementation brings coaches, families, and student-athletes into the same framework simultaneously. For schools ready for a year-round partnership, the Athletic Systems Partnership is a retained engagement across your entire athletic department. Every program is grounded in the Relational Suite™ Foundation.
Do you work with individual coaches or only full programs?
Both. Coaches are a central part of every Relational Suite™ program. The Family and Coach Advantage tier includes a dedicated coach track across the season examining your own communication patterns. Individual coaches can also begin with the free Relational Performance Snapshot independently before bringing the work to their program. The entry point is always designed for where you are right now.
How do we get started?
The best starting point is the free Relational Performance Snapshot — a short self-reflection tool that gives you and Relational Suite™ a shared picture of where your program’s relational patterns stand before any conversation begins. It takes three minutes and you can take it anytime. If you are already clear on what your program needs and ready to move forward, you can book a call directly to explore Family Advantage.
